Legal regulations

Several regulations, ordinances and directives must be observed for the import of goods.

Among the common regulations regarding China import there are:

CE labelling:

With the CE labelling, the EU manufacturer or importer declares, according to EU Ordinance 756/2008 that „the product meets the applicable requirements determined in the community harmonising legislation regarding their enforcement.”

ROHS Directive:

The EU-Directive 2011/65/EU regarding the restrictions for the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipments regulates the use of hazardous substances in equipments and components. This, as well as the respective implementation in the national legislation, are collectively named with the abbreviation RoHS (Restriction of (the use of certain) hazardous substances).

REACH Ordinance

The (EC) Ordinance no.1970/2006 (REACH Ordinance) refers to the chemicals and it entered into force in June 1rst 2007. REACH means Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals. As an EU Ordinance, REACH is equally and directly enforced in all member states. The legislation regarding chemicals is radically harmonized and simplified through REACH.
